Ancient Tek is a non-profit art’s company with a therapeutic approach to music making and learning, grounded in a deep commitment to collective, holistic and embodied human development through accessibility of music, therapy, and creative expression for all.

We are comprised of writers, performers, composers and educators, delivering projects, workshops, talks, performances and retreats, through an innovative fusion of modern and ancient music, dance and healing technology.

We curate compositions, performances, events and workshops which celebrate ancient music traditions, particularly those of the African and Asian diaspora. Supporting deeper experiences of culture and education by highlighting the intelligence and relevance of these music and dance traditions.

We also curate courses and retreats for healing and reconnection through music therapy. These are available for individuals and groups with a special process for families. We call these ‘Journeys’

Our services sustain our work towards community healing through music, which is core to Ancient Tek’s existence. Working towards decolonising therapy, we’ve built a network of local and international artists from diverse backgrounds and offer an open and safe space for those on the margins of society to explore new ways of connecting and expressing themselves.
