What for

Ancient music and movement cultures from the African and Asian diaspora use highly sophisticated methods of collaborating, connecting and sharing, which allow for deeper relationships and collective expression.
Consequently, nearly all modern forms of music therapy and sound healing can be traced back to ancient Egypt and ancient India.

Unfortunately, these forms of music therapy and the spaces in which they take place are more often than not inaccessible to those from the global majority countries who originally invented the methods. This is particularly true for low income and single parent families.

Its no secret that vital resources and labour for all modern technologies, particularly Laptops and iPads etc, are being sourced from global majority regions such as Africa and Asia.

Yet artists from these countries often lack the resources to record and take part in the electronic dance music that aften finds roots in these regions.

We acknowledge the extent to which western societies have benefitted culturally as well as economically from these ancient traditions. We believe its important to share the modern technologies and resources available to us so that modern and ancient approaches can benefit each other in the co-creation of new possibilities.

Whilst creating performances, workshops and events which celebrate these traditions – the profits go back into supporting artist development, technical equipment and support wthin these regions and the diaspora.
